Widerrufsrecht (Right of Withdrawal)

If you are a consumer (i.e., a natural person entering into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor self-employed), you have the following right of withdrawal in accordance with the statutory provisions:

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g., a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

Special Note for Digital Services

Important: If you request that the provision of digital content or digital services begins during the withdrawal period, you will lose your right of withdrawal if:

  • We have begun the complete performance of the contract, and
  • You have given your express consent to us beginning the performance before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period, and
  • You have acknowledged that you will lose your right of withdrawal by giving such consent.

By subscribing to our Email Verifier API service and requesting immediate access to the API, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of the digital service and acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once you begin using the service.

Subscription Cancellations

Please note that the right of withdrawal is different from subscription cancellation:

  • Right of Withdrawal: 14-day statutory right for new contracts (may be waived for digital services as noted above)
  • Subscription Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time. The cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Legal Basis

This right of withdrawal is based on Articles 312g and 355 et seq. of the German Civil Code (BGB) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU.
